MLAC is invested and wholly owned by Meilong Group, a Hi-Tech enterprise nominated by the government of Jiangsu Province. Meilong Group is formed by six subsidiary companies including Danyang New Meilong Automotive Interior, Beijing Xinchenglong Automotive Interior, Danyang New Meilong Composite R&D Institute, and MLAC. Meilong has a total of 800 employees with total capital and annual output recorded at one billion RMB. Over the last 20 years, Meilong Group’s main business centers on automotive interior materials and part development, design and manufacture. Currently, Meilong Group is skilled in producing products using various techniques including inject molding, SMC, compression molding, foaming and vacuum thermoform.
借C919飞机研发之机,美龙集团投资航空产业,投资建立江苏美龙航空部件有限公司,公司位于镇江新区航空产业园五峰山路88号,占地200亩,注册资本5000万人民币,规划投资5亿元,目前已经完成投资2亿元人民币,建成厂房50,000余平方米。公司目前在职人员有120人,其中技术、研发设计、管理、质量相关人员60余人,技术工人50余人。
公司主营业务为航空先进复合材料结构件的研发与制造,航空客舱、货舱内饰件的研发与制造,航空地面训练机内饰件的研发与制造,航空精密机械加工等,今后还开展航空钣金零件加工,铝合金的热处理和表面处理,高铁用复合材料、轻质材料部件的研发与制造。图1为美龙航空的外景图。
With growth in the Chinese aircraft industry market, Meilong Group took the opportunity and invested in the aerospace industry and founded Meilong Aviation Components Co., LTD (MLAC). Currently, it has a lot area of 133,333 square meters with facility occupying 50,000 square meters. MLAC has a registered capital of 50 million RMB and will be investing 500 million in the near future, with 200 billion already in place. The company has a total of 150 employees including 80 engineer, management, research and design, and quality related workers and 70 technicians. MLAC’s main business revolves on the development and manufacture of advanced aircraft composite structure including aviation cabin, interior cargo component, interior of aircraft simulators, and composite parts for high-speed train. 美龙航空拥有一支航空复合材料部件、内装饰和工装设计队伍。目前主要参与设计的项目有中国商用飞机公司C919飞机货舱内饰,C919飞机升降舵部件,西安空港设备公司B737、A320、A330等型号训练机客舱装饰系统等。
MLAC owns a design team that expertise in designing composite parts, aircraft interior and tooling. Thus far, MLAC has already designed several projects, including the cargo interior for C919, the elevator part of C919, and the interior of B737, A320 and A330 simulators for Xian Feibo Airport Equipment Co.
美龙航空的主营业务是航空复合材料零部件制造,目前的重点是开展航空复合材料内装饰和非承力构件的制造,随着加工能力的初步提升,公司将承接承力复合材料零部件的加工。
The main business of MLAC is related to the manufacture of aircraft composite parts. The current focus is to manufacture aircraft non-structural composite parts. With the enhancement of manufacture capability, the manufacture of composite structural parts will be the next business plan for MLAC.
美龙航空1#厂房(18,000平方米)已投入使用,建成复合材料热压罐成型和精密机械加工两条生产线,满足最大长度7.5米复合材料部件成型和最大1米精密数控机械加工。现有生产线面积、设备和人力资源配置,具备每年10万小时精密数控加工生产能力和20万小时复合材料加工能力,其中复合材料热压罐固化加工能力6,000小时,复合材料数控加工能力6,000小时。目前公司复合材料产能实际利用不足50%,具有较强的复合材料零部件转包承接能力,完全满足现有工作包年生产产能需求。
Facility #1 (18,000 square meters) of MLAC has already been put into use, and is equipped with two production lines. One line is for composite manufacturing, which can make and cure composite part up to 7.5 meters long. The other one is for precision machining which can machine the part up to 1.0 meter long. With the current facility, equipment and manpower, MLAC’s capacities can reach 200,000 production hours for precision machining and 200,000 hours for composite manufacturing. For the autoclave, it can run 6000 hours per year, and also the capacity is about 6000 hours for NC machining the composite parts. The current production only uses the facility, equipment and manpower far less than 50%. Therefore, MLAC’s current capacity can meet the whole Bombardier work package’s annual needs.
为扩大公司产能,2#厂房和3#厂房已完成土建,正进行水电安装,计划在2#厂房建设国际合作复合材料生产线和装配生产线,目前进行工艺布局和设备选型优化。同时规划建设的检验计量中心可以满足复合材料材料验收、产品理化检验、无损检验的需求。为满足部件生产配套要求,在3#厂房规划建设钣金和热表处理生产线,将形成小型钣金加工能力、铝合金固溶热处理、铝合金阳极氧化加工能力。随着新生产线的投产,公司可以达到每年100万小时生产能力,其中复合材料加工能力为80万小时,为进一步扩大航空复合材料零部件加工国际合作奠定良好基础。
To expand company production capacity, MLAC is carrying out the construction of Facility #2 and #3. The construction for the concrete has been finished, and the installation for sewage system and electricity is ongoing. The plan is to build production lines for manufacturing and assembling of the composite parts in Facility #2. Currently MLAC is working on the optimization of facility layout and the selecion of the appropriate equipment. Meantime, the company is planning to set up a laboratory in Facility #2 for material receiving inspection, in process and final inspection, as well as for non-destructive inspection. In Facility #3, the plan is to set up the production lines for sheet metal and heat treatment so the facility is well equipped for sheet metal、aluminum solution heat treatment and aluminum anodize for the company in the near future. After the new production lines are put into use, MLAC’s capacities will be increased to one million production hours annually, and production lines for the composites will be capable of 0.8 million hours for parts production. Therefore, MLAC is well prepared for enhancing the capability of manufacturing the composite parts and cooperating with the world-wide companies.

In 2012, CACC passed the Bureau Veritas AS9100 assessment and obtained the AS9100 accreditation for machining commercial aircraft shafts, rings, discs, shells, impellers and manufacturing commercial composite parts.
公司已按照中国商用飞机公司C919项目工艺规范要求,开展高温测量、复合材料成型设备和纤维增强复合材料结构件制造的工艺鉴定工作。
In accordance with COMAC C919 process specification requirements, MLAC has carried out the process qualification of high-temperature measurements, composite manufacturing equipment and fiber-reinforced composite structures manufacturing process.
